Productivity is the main driver of local economic growth over the longer term. This session will provide an introduction to productivity for local policymakers, covering key concepts, what data is available, and things to be aware of when analysing your local area’s productivity data.

Join us for an overview of understanding your local area’s productivity from our Deputy Director of Evidence Victoria Sutherland, after which you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions.

This short 45-minute session will complement our new ‘how to’ guide, Understanding local economic performance: GVA, productivity, and income, to be published soon. These sessions are aimed at policymakers who want to make good use of evidence but are pressed for time and may not have support from data analysts.
