The Government’s Cities and Local Growth Unit has commissioned What Works Growth to run a series of free workshops open to local and combined authorities and LEPs. Areas have started to identify new priorities as a result of pandemic. The aim of each of these workshops is to support local institutions to address these issues and drive the economic recovery.

This session on green investment covered what the evidence says about investing in green technologies at the local level to maximise economic impact.

  • Professor Henry Overman, London School of Economics
  • Anna Valero, Grantham Institute of Climate Change
  • A representative of the government offering their perspective
