Parnika is a Research Assistant at the What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth. She is currently pursuing an MSc in International Development and Development Economics at the LSE and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. Her interests range from sustainable development and evaluation methods to global health and economic research.
Prior to joining the Centre, she worked as a Research Intern at the George Institute for Global Health, in the evidence synthesis unit, to assess the impact of Covid-19 on maternal and child health service disruption in Southeast Asia. She has also interned at Niti Aayog, India’s policy think tank, where she worked on building the Smart City Index to track the progress of Indian cities in terms of SDGs.
